Protest against death in police custody
FAISALABAD: The parents of Muhammad Ahsan, a resident of Chiniot, on Wednesday staged a protest over the death of their son in police custody.
It is claimed that Ahsan was tortured to death by the Batala Colony police. He was allegedly involved in a kidnapping for ransom case of a teenaged girl of Rabbani Colony, Faisalabad.
Ahsan’s parents placed his body on road at Akbar Chowk and demanded immediate arrest of the police officials responsible of the death.
Later, they terminated their protest on the assurance of the area DSP who said the policemen, if found guilty, would be booked.
