Wall collapse injures nine seminary students

BAHAWALPUR: Nine students of a seminary and its administrator Tuesday suffered injuries when a wall fell on them at Abbasia Town on Multan road, Bahawalpur. The incident took place when the digging work was under way near the wall. All the injured were shifted to BVH. According to BVH spokesman Dr Aamer Mehmood Bukhari, four the students sustained critical injuries. AC Bahawalpur Rao Tasleem Akhtar and DSP Sadr police rushed to the BVH after the incident. The PS Sadr Bahawalpur registered case against seminary administrator Qari Abdul Rehman.
RECOUNTING UNDERWAY: The recounting remained continued in the offices of different returning officers on Tuesday in Bahawalpur district as losing candidates of UCs raised objections against the winners.
However, in recounting for UC-20 winning candidate Rao Shahid Iqbal against won the polls in recounting. In AC office Bahawalpur recounting for UC-15 of Bahawalpur Municipal Corporation was underway under the supervision of RO Rao Tasleem Akhtar. The RO has adjourned recounting of UC-16 of BMC for Wednesday.
DENSE FOG: Dense fog in Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar districts was observed on Tuesday. The fog almost paralysed the routine life of the people. Due to fog some accidents were reported on roads from Minchanabad to Liaqatpur.
In Bahawalnagar, Chishtian, Haroonabad, Fort Abbas, Hasilpur sun remained under clouds for the whole day. Till the filing of this news story dense fog reduced the visibility upto zero.
