Minister’s nephew loses LG election

BAHAWALPUR: Though the ruling PML-N won majority of seats in the local government elections in the district, yet it suffered a setback as a nephew of Federal Minister Riaz Hussain Pirzada lost the election.
Asad Pirzada, nephew of Federal Minister Riaz Hussain Pirzada and brother of PML-N MPA Kazim Ali Pirzada, lost the UC chairman slot election. He was also the frontrunner for the district council chairmanship.
