ABBOTTABAD: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Abbottabad has de-affiliated Jinnah Jame School & College, Haripur, for academic session 2016 onwards after an inquiry referred by the chief minister.
Secretary BISE Jehan Dad Khan Marwat told The News that the board had conducted an inquiry against institution for rusticating three students on charges of theft. He said the inquiry findings proved the allegations baseless and the school was issued show-cause notice in which they were asked to make unconditional apology to students in a ceremony.
On the contrary, the school management refused to apologise, and as a result the BISE withdrew the recognition of the school. However, registration of the students enrolled in Class-9 and 1st year will be entertained under the BISE Abbottabad, he added.
