Alleged PO killed in encounter, SHO injured

KASUR: An alleged proclaimed offender was shot dead in a police encounter while an SHO was injured near Arzanipur in Allaabad police area on Thursday.
According to Kasur DPO Ali Nasir Rizvi, two armed dacoits were looting passersby near Gahlan Bypass in which they snatched a bike and cash from Muhammad Arshad, who later informed police by 15. A police party under SHO Arshad started chasing the looters near Arzanipur the dacoits after seeing the police started firing which was retaliated. As a result, PO Yaseen alias Gunja was shot dead while his accomplice escaped. Yaseen Gunja was involved in 20 cases of crimes. SHO Arshad got injuries in the encounter.
KILLED ON ROAD: A man was killed and the other injured after a collision between a bike and tractor-trolley near Darbar Baba Sheikh Illam Din (RA). Ghulam Fareed and Mazhar Fareed were on their way on Chunian Road when a tractor-trolley hit them. As a result, Ghulam Fareed was killed while Mazhar sustained serious injuries who was shifted to hospital.
SIX ARRESTED: Under National Action Plan, Kasur police during a search operation interrogated 235 suspects under biometric system in which six were arrested and cases were registered against them.
