Dispute Resolution Council set up in Chitral

CHITRAL: Following the directives of t Inspector General of Police (IGP) Nasir Khan Durrani, the police on Thursday formed Dispute Resolution Council (DRC) in Drosh to settle the properties-related disputes amicably. The inaugural ceremony of the DRC Circle Office was held in Drosh with District Police Officer (DPO) Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat in the chair.
The DPO briefed the participants about the objectives of the establishment of the council and its role to provide easy access to justice to the general public. They were also informed about the formation of the Public Liaison Councils (PLCs) in the district and their role in preventing crimes, drug trafficking and keeping close coordination with police to maintain public order in the area.
The members of DRC assured their cooperation to the local police in resolving disputes and thanked the IGP Nasir Khan Durrani for formation of such a useful body for the larger interest of the public and also thanked the DPO for construction of an elegant DRC circle office in Drosh.
