Control room established at DCO office

JHANG: On the directions of the District Returning Officer/ DCO Nadir Chattha, a control room has been established at DCO’s office for December 5th local government polls.
According to the statement, the office superintendent of DCO office and staff of information office will be available in the control room for liaison with reporters regarding the polls activities.
Meanwhile, Deputy Director Public Relations Sarfrazullah in his written statement said that during the third phase of the LG polls entry passes are not being issued to reporters. However, polling staff has been directed to facilitate reporters in performance of their legitimate duties during the polls as per rules, he maintained.
District Police Officer Humayun Masoon in his meeting with journalists told them that no one would be allowed to enter the polling stations without permission of the ECP and from the nominated authority.
