Collection, disbursement of ballot papers begins

JHANG: District Returning Officer Nadir Chattha has said that process of collection and disbursement of ballot papers has begun and it will be completed before December 4.
In a statement here on Tuesday, he said that representatives of returning officers along with District Regional Transport Authority Secretary Malik Tahir visited Islamabad and collected ballot papers amid tight security. The DRO said that notification regarding 1,084 polling stations had already been displayed outside the offices of the ROs for public awareness.
PLAN FINALISED TO CHANGE OVERLOADED TRANSFORMERS: The Fesco is being made more strengthen by increasing human resources and technical and non-technical infrastructures at the sub-division level, said Fesco Jhang division Deputy Manager Operations Syed Saleem Shah.
Chairing a meeting to review performance of the division here on Tuesday, he said that the Fesco higher authorities were planning to increase salary packages and other benefits of field and office staff, who had shown good performance. He said that the Fesco CEO had granted permission to applicants of new connections to purchase of 25KVA distribution transformers by themselves (consumers) for issuance of connection immediately. He said that a plan had been finalised by Fesco CEO Rashid Ahmad Aslam to change the overloaded transformers at different grid stations to minimise tripping. He disclosed that the Fesco high-ups had sanctioned posts of different supporting staff in view of acute staff shortage.
