Essay contest result announced

HAFIZABAD: The result of the Urdu essay writing competition at district level was announced on Tuesday.
The result was declared in a ceremony chaired by DEO (SE) Rai Irshad Kharal.
Muhammad Qasim, student of the Government High School No.1 Pindi Bhattian got the first position, Farasat Ali, student of the government Public High School Jalalpur Bhattian got the 2nd position and Umar Farooq, student of Government High School No.1 Hafizabad obtained the 3rd position.
In girls category, Areeba Noreen, student of the government Girls High School Jurian stood first, Rameen Fatima, of government double section girls’ school obtained the 2nd position and Slaher Bano, student of government girls H/SS Sukheke, Mandi, got the 3rd position.
LOCALS ROBBED OF CASH, VALUABLES: Locals were deprived of cash and valuables on Tuesday.
Shahid Hussain and Humza were coming on his motorbike from factory to Hafizabad when they reached near Iqbal Garden, two robbers intercepted them and snatched four mobile phones, Rs 50,000 and the motorbike.
Thieves stole cash from a Medical Store on Madhrianwala road Hafizabad. Thieves entered the medical store of Zain-u-Abideen and tok away Rs 20,000.
