No let-up in looting spree in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA: Locals were deprived of cash, vehicles and valuables in 16 strikes in different areas in Gujranwala on Friday.
In Wahndo area three robbers intercepted Shahzad and his wife and snatched Rs 20,000 and gold ornaments from them.
In Kamoke area, gunmen snatched gold ornaments, cash and new motorcycle from Hafeez and his wife.
Bandits intercepted Iqbal and his wife and deprived them of gold ornaments and Rs 20,000 in Sohdra locality.
In Ladhewala police station area, robbers snatched Rs 22,000, gold ornaments and a cellphone from Khawar and his wife.
Nusrat was deprived of Rs 33,000 and a cellphone by dacoits in Alipur Chatha area.
Zia Ullah was deprived of Rs 8,000 and two cellphones in Sadar Gujranwala police station limits.
Two robbers took away Rs 12,000 from Faryad in the Baghbanpura area.
Yamin was also deprived of his new motorcycle in the Baghbanpura area.
In civil lines police station limit robbers took away Rs 12,000 and a cellphone from Adil.
New motorcycles of Abdul Ghaffar, Ilyas, Manzoor, Umer, Yasir and Abdul Wahid were stolen from different areas.
SMUGGLED VEHICLE IMPOUNDED: The customs authorities Friday seized a smuggled vehicle and a heavy generator from two areas.
Customs team headed by Saad Iqbal and Muhammad Anwar raided Madina Colony, Sialkot and recovered a smuggled vehicle. The customs authorities also recovered a heavy generator from the area of Pindi Bypass.
