Another corona patient dies in Faisalabad
FAISALABAD: Another patient of coronavirus died in the city while 34 fresh cases were reported during the last 24 hours.
A spokesperson for the Health Department said that 1,218 coronavirus tests were conducted in public and private sectors laboratories in the district during the 24 hours. He said that total active cases of COVID-19 were 641 in Faisalabad while the number of recovery was 6,215. He said that out of total 635 beds, 550 beds were allocated at the Allied Hospital and 85 at DHQ Hospital for COVID-19 patients.
He said that at present, 98 patients, including 31 confirmed patients, were under treatment at the Allied Hospital while 25, including three confirmed patients, had been admitted to DHQ Hospital.
Power shutdown notice: The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) has issued power shutdown schedule for Monday (today) due to necessary repair, maintenance and expansion of electricity lines.
According to the schedule, power supply from Lathianwala, Sabboana, Jarranwala Road, Arzo Mills, HSM-II, Fakhar Abad, MK Sons, Chawla, Wapda City, Bismillah/Megna, ZA Corporation, Chaudhary Wala, FSM, Niagra, Interloop, new MK Sons, Best Export, Forest Park, Firdous, HSM, Lahore Road, Rafiq Spinning Mills, UET, Nimra, Gohar, Ahmad Jamar and Khurarianwala City feeders emanating from 132-KV Khurarianwala grid station would remain suspended from 9:30am to 1:30pm while Langrana, Khurdpur, Elyas, Masha Allah, Lyallpur Oil Refinery, Shehbaz Pur, Aminpur, Sindhu and Parokiyanwala feeders originating from 132-KV Narwala Road grid station would observe shutdown from 9am to 6pm on Monday (January 4).
Similarly, electricity supply from Dr Tariq Rasheed (DHQ) feeder emanating from 132-KV Factory Area grid station, Katchery Road, Islampura, Ali Pura Bungalow and Canal Road feeders originating from 132-KV Jaranwala grid station would remain suspended from 9:30am to 2:30pm whereas Beeranwala and Asiyan feeders emanating from 132-KV Chiniot grid station, Canal Road feeder originating from 132-KV Jaranwala grid station, Khannuana feeder emanating from 132-KV Bhowana grid station would observe loadshedding from 9am to 1p m on January 4.
Meanwhile, power supply from al-Faisal, Elyas Garden, Roshanwala, College Road, Chenab Garden, Mujahid Abad, Government General Hospital and Muzaffar Colony feeders originating from 132-KV Sammundri Road grid station, State Bank, City, Agri University, Iqbal Stadium, Cardiolog-II, Ismaeel Road feeders emanating from 132-KV University grid station, Pepsi, Susan Road and Rafhan feeders originating from 132-KV Old Thermal grid station, new Madina Town, Marafco, National Silk Mills and Koh-e-Noor City feeders emanating from 66-KV Old Thermal grid station would also remain suspended from 9am to 2pm on Monday (today).
Two held, narcotics recovered: Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested two drug pushers and recovered hashish from them.
A spokesperson for the police said that during a crackdown, Ghulam Muhammadabad police arrested Khurram and Atif besides recovering 6kg hashish. The police registered a case against them and started investigation.
