Ahmed overwhelms Abdal as BB tennis begins
ISLAMABAD: Ahmed Chaudhary got off to a winning start on Monday as the Benazir Bhutto National Ranking Tennis Championship got underway here at the Islamabad Tennis Complex.
Ahmed got the better of Abdal Haidar 6-3, 6-1, making the youngster struggle throughout the course of play.
Also making it to the second round in men’s singles were Heera Ashiq, Mudassir Murtaza and Muzammil Murtaza.
Mohammad Shoaib, recent winner of two back-to-back international junior events, was seen in the best of shape as he prevailed over Mohammad Usman Ejaz 6-3 6-2.
