MARDAN: The kidnappers have demanded Rs60 million for the release of two students of a local school, sources said.
The sources said that on November 18, Hamza, son of Mir Ali, a student of 8th grade, and Taimur, his cousin who is studying in the 9th grade were going to school when they were kidnapped. They belonged to Dheray village in Katlang tehsil in Mardan district.
The sources added that the families of the students received a call from the kidnappers who demanded Rs60 million as ransom for their release. Sources added that the family of the kidnapped students had not registered the case with the police.
When contacted, officials at the Katlang Police Station confirmed the incident and said that the families of the kidnapped students had not reported the incident.
