The ECP gave polling materials and ballot papers to the presiding officers.
The RTA/District Transport Authority has acquired about 300 vehicles to transport the polling staff and material to the polling stations.
The candidates have also hired the vehicles for transporting the voters to the polling stations.
Due to this public transport between Hafizabad and other cities and towns remained virtually disrupted.
Meanwhile, the district administration has imposed Section l44 and banned display of firearms, assembly of five or more persons within the radius of 300 meters from the polling stations, taking out of processions and rallies for celebrating victory and aerial firing on Thursday.

Shakeela Bibi had married Ali Butt of Hafizabad about two years back, against the wishes of her parents. On the day of the incident, her father and others took her to Jhang branch canal and attacked her with hatchets and knives.
