It is worth mentioning that Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali, MPA Mian Tahir Jameel and Rana Sheheryar, son-in-law of the law minister, were also nominated in the murder case by complainant Attaur Rehman Khan, but they were declared innocent during the police investigation.
MAN CONVICTED IN FIRING CASE: Anti-Terrorism Court Special Judge Raja Pervaiz Akhtar on Wednesday awarded 20-year imprisonment and Rs 600,000 fine to Tauqeer Ahmad of New Lahore in a firing case.
The judge, however, acquitted two other accused giving them the benefit of the doubt. The prosecution said that the convict had demanded extortion from Atif Ali. On refusal to pay the amount, the convict had opened indiscriminate firing at his house, the prosecution added.
