EC recalls elections in MC Nawabshah, TC Daur

NAWABSHAH: The Election Commission of Pakistan has recalled elections in the Municipal Committee, Nawabshah and the Town Committee, Daur in the light of the order of the Sindh High Court.
In this regard, a letter was sent on Wednesday by the office of the District Returning Officer Shaheed Benazirabad to the Returning Officers Municipal Committee, Nawabshah and the town committee, Daur, stating that he received directives on telephone by the provincial election commissioner, Sindh, that the Election Commission of Pakistan has recalled elections in the Municipal Committee, Nawabshah and the town committee, Daur in the light of the Sindh Court November 17, 2015 order.
According to the DRO, he requested the Returning Officers to call back the Presiding Officers in their jurisdiction and arrange safe retrieval of the election material.
