Couple among 3 killed in Okara accidents

OKARA: Three people, including a couple, were killed in separate road accidents here on Monday.
Nosher Ahmad and his wife Akbari Bibi of 443/GB village, Faisalabad, were on their way by a motorcycle when a speeding bus crushed them to death near Tobruke Bus Stop. In another incident, Nasir Jahan of Basirpur, a student of Postgraduate College, was on his way when a bus crushed him to death at Depalpur Chowk on the GT Road. Later, students of the college took out a rally against the incident and blocked the GT Road for two hours in protest. Later, on the assurance of police that the bus driver would be arrested soon, they dispersed.
OPC POLLS ON 29TH: Annual elections of the Okara Press Club will be held here on Nov 29.
It was told by OPC president Rao Fazalur Rehman in a meeting held here on Monday. Munir Chaudhry, Muhammad Aslam Piracha, Ch Abdul Waheed Arain, Shahbaz Sajid and others also attended the meeting.
