MULTAN: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) has trained female workers to counter government’s alleged plan of rigging in the second phase of the Local Government polls.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, PTI Women Wing district president Sabin Gul said that the masses had rejected the PML-N’s alleged rigging plan and the PTI female workers had been trained to foil the plan. She claimed that the PTI candidates would win with massive majority in the LG polls. Sabin Gul blamed that the PML-N government used public machinery in the favour of its candidates in the first phase of the LG polls. The ECP should intervene into the situation and stop misuse of public resources in the second phase of the elections, she demanded. She said that the PTI Women Wing activists had been trained for dealing with voters’ lists, polling schemes and vote casting process. The PTI Women Wing had formed women groups for door-to-door canvassing in favour of the party candidates, she maintained. She demanded the Election Commission of Pakistan take action to foil the alleged rigging plan. PTI Women Wing office-bearers including Najma Akhtar, Rakhshanda Jabin, Rukhsana Mehboob and Mahjabeen Sheikh were also present.
