ISLAMABAD: The Sindh government after conceding its blunder of secretly withdrawing the cancellation order of over 10 acres of high priced state land in the heart of Karachi before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi, has removed the illegality and issued the letter declaring the previous letter withdrawn/cancelled.
The letter No 01-184-03/SO-I/685 issued by the Sindh government, a copy of which is available with The News, says, “The letter bearing No 01-184-03/SO-I/531, dated 07-10-2015 is hereby withdrawn/cancelled; as the applicant purchased the above land in Sector-43/A as per Sale-Deed registered vide R.D No 9532, dated 16-12-2006. The applicant has also filed Suit No 683/2009, wherein the Honourable High Court of Sindh also granted status-quo vide order date 27.05.2009.
It is pertinent to mention here that following the unearthing of this unique fraud by The News, the secretary Sindh Land Utilisation Department was summoned by the NAB Karachi office on Monday afternoon.
Earlier, in a story published in The News, it was mentioned that the secretary conceded that the wrong was done but assured that the cancellation order of the allotment of the prime state land in Karachi will be revived on Tuesday.
