GUJRANWALA: The locals were deprived of cash, gold ornaments and valuables in various incidents on Monday. Two robbers intercepted Habib and his wife and snatched Rs 20,000, gold ornaments and a cell phone in Kamoke area. Near Emanabad dacoits snatched Rs 26,000 and two cellphones from Touseef. Khawaja Rehan was deprived of Rs 18,000 and two cellphones by dacoits. In Alipur Chatha robbers snatched Rs 16,000 and a cellphone from Shaifque. In Sohdra locality bandits took away Rs 12,000 and two cellphones from Abdul Haleem. At Wahndo robbers snatched new motorcycle from Rana Asad. In Gakhar gunmen snatched new motorcycle from Sharafat. Thieves stole motorcycle No STN-8683 from Sheikh Babar in Garjakh area. Thieves stole new motorcycle of Abdul Manan from Baghbanpura, new motorcycle of Ansar from Civil Lines area, new motorcycle of Hakeem Zaman from Satellite Town, motorcycle No GA-1554 of Manzar Ali from Kashmir Road, new motorcycle of Nadeem from Satellit Town, new motorcycle of Azher Ali from Baghbanpura, new motorcycle of Shafqat from Wazirabad.
DIES IN ACCIDENT: A speeding bus killed a man who was crossing a road near Alam Chowk. Khalid, 40, was crossing the road when a speeding bus hit him, leaving him dead on the spot. His relatives staged a protest demanding action against the bus company by placing the dead body on the road.
