Dacoits on looting spree in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA: Citizens deprived of cash, gold, cellphones and vehicles in 24 incidents on Saturday.
In Noshera Virkan dacoits intercepted Majeed and his wife and snatched gold ornaments, Rs 38,000 and a cellphone.
In cantonment area robbers snatched Rs 7,000, gold and cellphones from Sultan and his wife.
In Kamoke, Saqib and his wife were deprived of ornaments, Rs 10,000 and two cellphones.’
At Kot Ladha locality gunmen intercepted Abdul Hafiz and his wife and snatched Rs 29,000 and gold ornaments. In Ladhewala locality, Abdullah was deprived of Rs 32,000 and a cellphone by bandits.
In Sadr police limits, robbers snatched Rs 18,000 and a cellphone from Waleed. Bashir was deprived of new motorcycle in the same area.
In Peoples Colony dacoits took away Rs 5,000 and a new motorcycle of Tariq.
At Ferozewala locality, dacoits snatched Rs 7,000 and two cellphones from Hashim. In Gakhar Mandi robbers snatched Rs 10,000 and a cellphone from Asif.
In theft incidents in various parts of the city Zafar, Azhar, Naeem, Khawar, Abid, Hameed, Umer, Nadeem Asghar, Khadim, Iftikhar, Hameed, Amin and Munir were deprived of their motorcycles.
‘KIDNAPPED’ UC CHAIRMAN CANDIDATE REACHES HOME: A union council chairman slot candidate who was allegedly kidnapped the other day reached his house on Saturday.
The Jinnah road police registered a case on November 6 against 13 people on the charges of kidnapping the PTI’s candidates.
Haji Muhammad Iqbal, father of kidnapped UC chairman candidate Mian Babar Iqbal, told police the other day that his son went out for election campaign but did not come back.
He alleged that his son was kidnapped by his rivals Waqar Ahmed Cheema and others. Now when Babar reached his home, the police have started the probe.
