SAHIWAL: Four children drowned while six others were rescued when a van plunged into a canal here on Friday.
According to rescue sources, Ali Raza and his family were returning after visiting a graveyard when their van plunged into the Lower Bari Doab Canal.
Rescue 1122 officials rushed to the venue and fished out four men and women and six children.
The victims were shifted to the DHQ Hospital where Arman (3), Saadia (1), Shuaib (3) and Zunair (1) died. The condition of others was stated to be out of danger.
