Jhang LG polls: Political activities gain momentum
From Our Correspondent
JHANG: Political activities have started gaining momentum for the local government elections scheduled to be held in the district on December 5.
Most of the candidates have launched their election campaign while some senior workers of the PML-N allege that the party parliamentarians have ignored them in distribution of tickets and now they will contest the elections as independent candidates. They allege that when it comes to the distribution of party tickets, the party parliamentarians ignore the honest and committed workers and give tickets to the turncoats. Meanwhile, PML-N MPA Rashida Yaqoob Sheikh and MNA Sheikh Akram have developed differences with each other over distribution of party tickets. When contacted, PML-N district president Khalid Ghani said that the PML-N provincial leadership has called the MNA and the MPA to resolve the issue. He said that all issues regarding the party tickets will soon be resolved.
