Women’s Parliamentary Caucus (WPC) Monday condemned the attack on Additional and District Judge Haripur Hina Khan.
WPC Secretary Shaista Pervaiz Malik in a condolence message expressed grief and deep concern over the attack by unknown assailants during which she escaped unhurt however her driver died in the incident.
I and the members of the WPC strongly condemn this coward attack and request the government of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa to investigate and arrest the culprits at the earliest she said in a statement issued here.
Culprits of such heinous crimes need to be dealt with exemplary punishment she added Secretary Caucus further added that this attack should be considered as a terrorist attack under the law. Shaista Malik also requested the investigating agencies in Khyber-Pakh-tunkhwa to share the investigation reports with the WPC so that it can monitor the follow up process and extend whatever possible support to ensure that no such incident occurs in future.
Shaista Pervaiz Malik further stated that such cowardly acts will not deter women from using their potentials in noble and honourable professions such as the judiciary.
