CHARSADDA: The bullet-riddled bodies of two persons were found in fields in the district on Sunday, sources said.
The sources said that one Delawar Khan went missing from Matta Mughalkhel village three days ago and his body was found in a field. Acting on a tip-off, the police reached the spot and shifted the body to the hospital for autopsy.
Meanwhile, a resident of Urmar in Peshawar identified as Mudassir Khan was also found killed in a field in Tarlandi village in Tangi area. The police shifted the body to the hospital for postmortem.
Reacting to the killing of two persons, the residents of Matta Mughalkhel staged protest and blocked the road for some time.
They demanded a strict action against the Station House Officer (SHO) Shabqadar Police Station Ali Jan Khan and Police Post In-charge Hikmat Shah for their failure to check crimes in the area.
