Locals robbed of cash, valuables

GUJRANWALA: Locals were deprived of cash and valuables in different incidents in several areas of Gujranwala on Friday.
In Kot Ladha police station limits robbers snatched Rs 11,000 and gold ornaments from Bushra.
In Noshera Virkan, gunmen snatched Rs 16,000 and two cellphones from Mohsin.
Abdul Razzaq was robbed of his new motorcycle in Noshera Virkan locality. In Sadr police area, dacoits snatched Rs 15,000 two cellphones from Zafar. Hadayatullah was deprived of Rs 3,000 and a new motorcycle in Sadr police area.
In Wahndo area robbers intercepted Asia and took away Rs 5,000 and gold ornaments. In Wazirabad dacoits took away Rs 22,000 and two cellphones from Waseem. In civil lines area robbers snatched Rs 7,000 and two cellphones from Rauf.
In Tatle Aali area, gunmen snatched Rs 9,000 and a new motorcycle from Ali But. Thieves stole the car of Hafeez, motorcycles Murtaza, Azhar, Siddique, Rizwan, Irham, Chand, Niamat Ali, Nawab and Waleed.
CONVICTED: Additional Sessions Judge Liaqat Ali Ranjha Friday awarded life imprisonment to a drug peddler. Baghbanpura police had recovered 12 kg charas from convict Aftab and registered a case against him.
