Child dies after vaccination in Kamoke
DCO orders inquiry

GUJRANWALA: A three-month-old girl died after vaccination by a Health Department team at Kamoke.
The Health Department team comprising Razia and Usman gave a dose of vaccine to Aleeza, daughter of Ashiq. Soon after being vaccinated, her condition deteriorated and she died on the spot. On an application of the parents, DCO Amir Jan ordered the Kamoke assistant commissioner to probe the matter and submit a report to him.
DCO FOR DRIVE AGAINST ADULTERATION: DCO Amir Jan has directed the price magistrates to launch a campaign against food adulteration.
Presiding over a meeting in his office here on Thursday, he said that elements involved in adulteration would be sent behind the bars. He said that a task force had been set up to conduct raids at different markets. He said that implementation on supply of milk in plastic drums be ensured and FIRs might be registered against the violators. He directed the price control magistrates to check rate lists on daily basis while names and mobile phone numbers of the magistrates concerned should be written at the rate lists so that the consumers could contact them in case of any complaint.
PRISONER DIES: An under trial prisoner died at the district headquarters hospital on Thursday.
Kashif, 30, was arrested in a drug pushing case by police. He was reportedly an addict. On Wednesday night, he fell unconscious and was rushed to the hospital where he died. Meanwhile, the district and sessions judge has ordered Judicial Magistrate Saleem Malik to conduct an inquiry.
MAN KILLED FOR LAND: A man was killed and another injured in a clash between two groups over a land dispute at Wazirabad on Thursday.
The two groups opened fire at each other. As a result, Salamat Ali, 38, was killed on the spot while Ch Boota was injured. The injured man was shifted to a hospital. Wazirabad Sadr police have registered a case and started investigations.
ACTION AGAINST CANDIDATES: District Returning Officer Rafaqat Ali has directed all the assistant commissioners to take strict action against the local government candidates, who are violating the code of conduct.
He said that there were lot of complaints against the candidates that they had installed big hoardings and posters on roads and streets.
