SWABI: The police claimed to have recovered 50 kilograms explosives from a van here on Thursday. Talking to reporters, District Police Officer Javid Iqbal said that the police were alerted at Shaheed Baba checkpost located on the boundary of Swabi-Haripuir districts after they got a tip-off that explosives were being shifted in a van. The official said the police flagged down a van (No.2134) on the Topi-Ghazi Road and recovered 50 kgs explosives during the search. He said a man identified as Muhammad Javed was arrested and a case was registered against him. The accused belongs to Mohmand Agency but was living in Abbottabad.
