KARACHI: Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF) will be holding open trials to select Pakistan women team on November 9 at Jinnah Stadium, Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad.
The team will participate in 12th SAF Games’ Asian style kabaddi event in Guwahati, India, from February 6 to 16.
In 2013, Pakistani women made history when they defeated Denmark and clinched third position in Kabaddi World Cup played in India. That was the first time Pakistan fielded women’s team in the sport in an international tournament.
In order to form a strong team, PKF has written to top sports organisations and educational institutions to send their girls for national team trials.
