CM takes notice of girl’s self-immolation’ in Multan
MULTAN: A 21-year-old girl attempted ‘self-immolation’ after her parents denied her to contract love marriage at Basti Malook on Thursday night. According to police, Sonia wanted to contract love marriage with Latif but her parents refused. It dejected Sonia and she attempted self-immolation. As a result, she received serious burns.

MULTAN: A 21-year-old girl attempted ‘self-immolation’ after her parents denied her to contract love marriage at Basti Malook on Thursday night.
According to police, Sonia wanted to contract love marriage with Latif but her parents refused. It dejected Sonia and she attempted self-immolation. As a result, she received serious burns. She was admitted to the Nishtar Hospital.
On the other hand, the girl’s parents lodged a complaint with police that Latif had allegedly burnt Sonia alive. Police have registered a case under Section 324 CrPC against Latif and started investigation.
The CPO office spokesman said that police investigation was in process to establish the actual reason behind self-immolation bid.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of ‘self-immolation’ by a girl and sought a report from Multan RPO Tariq Masood Yasin.
