The Lahore High Court Thursday directed Gujranwala CPO to recover a missing man and produce him in the court.
Abrar Ahmad, the petitioner, argued through his counsel that police had kept Aftab Ahmad at some unknown place over a financial issue with a close relative of a local MNA, Mudassar Qayyum Nahra. He said that the family tried its best for the recovery of the abductee but could not find him. He was found at Gujranwala Civil Lines police station when he was traced through his cellphones, the petitioner submitted. He further stated that missing of Aftab Ahmad had caused serious mental agony for the family members.
The petitioner requested the court to order the police to recover him and produce him in the court. The court will resume hearing on October 26.
