SIALKOT: Former federal minister and PPP leader Dr Firdaus Ashiq Awan has asked the people to follow the teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) to get success here and hereafter.
She said this while addressing a peace conference held at a local hotel here on Tuesday. Dr Firdaus said that the battle between Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and Yazeed was a part of an eternal clash between the right and the wrong and the good and the evil in which the good got victory. She said that the true followers of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) had always been busy fighting against the evil forces of Yazeed. She said that some anti-Islamic forces were hatching conspiracies to disrupt peace and harmony of Pakistan. She lauded the Pak Army for launching operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorists. She urged upon the government to immediately initiate a Karachi style operation in the cities of Punjab against the facilitators and financers of different terrorists organisations. She said that without a comprehensive nation wide operation, the menace of terrorism could not be completely wiped out. Former Azad Kashmir minister Hafiz Hamid Raza, Maulana Akram Baghdadi, Mian Abid Javed and a number of scholars from different schools of thought also attended the function.
