174 Majalis to be held in Multan today

MULTAN: As many as 74 Muharram processions and 174 Majalis will be held in the district today (Muharram 7).
It was told in a meeting held to review Muharram security arrangements here on Tuesday. CPO Azhar Akram chaired the meeting while other concerned officers also attended the meeting. The meeting was told that more than 5,331 cops, Pakistan Qaumi Razakars and volunteers had been appointed on the security duty for the seventh of Muharram in the district. It was informed that a security plan had been made to avoid any untoward incident in the district during Muharram. The CPO lauded the role of volunteers and Qaumi Razakars for performing duty in the district during Muharram. The CPO ordered the DSPs and the SHOs for taking stern action against those violating law.
STUDENT INJURED BY STRAY BULLET: A ninth class student was injured when a stray bullet hit him at Basti Malok High School on Tuesday.
Amir Hamza was taking class in the school when suddenly a stray bullet hit him. As a result, he was seriously injured and rushed to the Nishtar Hospital. Police have started investigation.
