Kasur police claims arresting PO

KASUR: Kasur police Tuesday claimed arresting a proclaimed offender (PO) after an encounter near Jajal village in the limits of Allahabad police.
The Allahabad policemen signaled two motorcyclist suspects to stop near Jajal village at a picket, but the suspects opened indiscriminate firing at the police party. The firing was retaliated and after a brief encounter, one robber received bullet injuries and fell down from the motorcycle, while the other fled.
The police arrested the injured robber who was identified as Kaleem of Kasur and was wanted by Kasur police in 16 cases of robberies.
Police also recovered a snatched motorcycle and illicit weapons from the detained robber.
DPO Kasur Ali Nasir Rizvi constituted teams for the arrest of the other dacoit.
