Security arrangements for Sukkur, Larkana reviewed
SUKKUR: General Officer Commanding (GOC), Pano Aqil, Maj-Gen Faiz Hameed, has said that during Muharram-ul-Haram, all the forces will work with district administrations as a part of their teams. The Rangers and army personnel will remain present at control rooms and ensure implementation of code of conduct and Section 144.

SUKKUR: General Officer Commanding (GOC), Pano Aqil, Maj-Gen Faiz Hameed, has said that during Muharram-ul-Haram, all the forces will work with district administrations as a part of their teams. The Rangers and army personnel will remain present at control rooms and ensure implementation of code of conduct and Section 144. These directions were issued by him while presiding over an important meeting at the Commissioner House with police, law enforcement agencies and administrations of Sukkur and Larkana divisions on security arrangements during the Muharram-ul- Haram.
Commissioner Sukkur Muhammad Abbas Baloch, Commissioner Larkana Ghulam Akbar Leghari, accompanied with DIGs of both the divisions, deputy commissioners and SSPs of all the districts of Sukkur and Larkana divisions attended the meeting.
GOC Pano Aqil Cantonment Maj-Gen Faiz Hameed said that during Muharram-ul-Haram no one would be allowed to take the law into his hands and implementation of the code of conduct must be ensured.
Maj-Gen Faiz Hameed said that advanced preparations be made to face any expected terrorism by keeping vigilant eye at all entry points and hotels. However, he added that focus should be on Khairpur and Shikarpur districts.
The GOC Pano Aqil said that all the forces during Muharram-ul-Haram will be a part of district administration teams. “We all need to work together for the betterment of our nation,” he said.
“During the Muharram-ul-Haram, all the stakeholders of the society should cooperate with the administrations,” he said. Earlier, GOC Pano Aqil visited the Sukkur Barrage and told the district administration that soon an Askari Park with the collaboration of the district administration will be established in Sukkur.
