FAISALABAD: The City Traffic Police have made a comprehensive plan to effectively control the traffic here during the 10 days of Muharram.
It was said by Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Sardar Asif Khan while addressing the traffic police officials here on Monday. The CTO said that besides deputing regular traffic staff, a reserve force of the cops would also perform duty during the Muharram days. CTO Sardar Asif Khan told that 780 traffic wardens, 34 traffic police inspectors and 99 constables would perform special duty during Muharram while alternative arrangements would be made to regulate the traffic during this period. He said that the circle traffic officers, sector incharges and senior traffic wardens had been appointed to regulate traffic on the city roads during Muharram. He said that ‘easy routs’ had also been chosen to shift the mourners to the Civil and Allied hospitals in case of emergency.
