CHAKWAL: The district administration has taken security arrangements to avoid any untoward incident here during Muharram.
In this connection, the district administration has imposed ban on pillion riding under Section 144 in the district from Muharram four to 10 as the district has been declared sensitive by the Punjab government, said an official handout on Monday. According to the handout, there would be complete ban on the use of loud speakers illegally while assembling of five or more persons at one place and carrying of arms would be prohibited. According to the handout, only those processions which would have licences would be allowed in the district. Meanwhile, DCO Mehmood Javed has requested to the Punjab government to send the army in the district from Muharram five to 10. DPO Dr Moeen Masood has issued a security plan for the most sensitive processions to be taken out in the district in Muharram.
