OKARA: An SHO contemptuously left the court of Civil Judge Tajammul Hussain Chaudhry here on Friday.
Cantonment SHO Nosher appeared in the court of Civil Judge Tajammul Hussain Chaudhry in a case. The judge asked him why he did not produce record of cases for which he was ordered earlier. The judge also directed his staff to issue him a show-cause notice. In response, the SHO said: “I am leaving the court. The court may rest in peace and do whatever it wants.” The judge ordered the SHO to stop, but he left the court. To it, the judge ordered his staff to arrest the SHO. Following the order, the staff went to arrest the SHO on the court premises, but he alerted his guards and asked the staff not to move forward, otherwise they would not be able to return to the court.
The staff returned to the courtroom and narrated the incident to the judge. Taking immediate action, the judge issued arrest orders for the SHO and also wrote a letter to the district police officer, recommending his suspension.
