RPO promises foolproof security in Muharram

CHAKWAL: RPO Raja Fakhar Sultan Thursday said foolproof security arrangements would be made during Muharram.
Addressing the peace committee of the district at police lines, the RPO said sectarian harmony is very important and it is the foremost duty of religious figures to come forward and preach peace, brotherhood and sectarian harmony.
The DPO, Haji Abdul Razzaque Jami, Chairman Zakat and Ushar committee chakwal Sultan Raza Jami, ex-MPA Taqleed Raza Shah, Chaudhry Muhammad Ali, Pir Syed Riaz ul Hassan Shah, Abdul Shakoor Naqshbandi, Maulana Abdul Haneef, Raja Mujahid Afsar, Syed Ahmad Ali Shah, Sahbzada Mehmood Awan also attended the meeting.
Religious scholars of sects assured complete cooperation to the RPO in maintain peaceful atmosphere in the district.
Additional district collector Asim Jawaid Hashmi, AC Talagang Tanveer ul Rehman, AC Lawa Mazhar Iqbal, DSP Saddar Mian Muhammad Akbar, DSP headquarters Chaudhry Asar Ali, DSP legal Raja Nasir Ali were also present. The RPO urged the media not to fuel sectarianism while reporting the incidents.
