‘Foolproof security plan chalked out for Muharram in Faisalabad’

FAISALABAD: CPO Afzal Ahmed Kausar Wednesday said local administration and Police have chalked out a foolproof security plan for Muharram.
Briefing local lawmakers and police officials at police lines complex, the CPO said a large number of police personnel would be deputed at various vital points to keep security of main routes of processions and Majalis. The CPO said the people would be allowed to attend the Majalis after their manual search.
MNAs Ghulam Rasool Sahi, Shahbaz Babar and MPAs Tahir Jameel, Malik Muhammad Nawaz, Faqir Hussain Dogar, Khalid Seed, Naeem Ahmad Gill and Azad Ali Tabassum and SPs of Lyallpur Town, Madina Town, Iqbal Town and Jaranwala also attended the briefing.
DCO Noorul Amin Mengal told the meeting that district administration has already chalked out a comprehensive “Muharram Security Plan” to ensure the fool proof security in Faisalabad during Muharram.
He said ACs of the district have already been directed to convene meetings of local religious leaders about security matters and seek their suggestions to beef security further.
He said police in the district would be mobilized and the Quick Response Police and the Elite Force personnel would also assigned duties to maintain foolproof security during Muharram.
