Woman, man killed for ‘honour’ in Swabi

SWABI: A married woman and her alleged friend were shot dead here on Tuesday, police sources said. The sources said that the girl hailing from Maneri village had been married off to one Sultan Khan two months back, but she didn’t get along with him. She allegedly eloped with Abbas Bahadur, who was the son of her aunt.
They were allegedly staying at the house of the maternal uncle of Abbas Bahadur in Kotha village. The sources said that Sultan Khan tracked them down and allegedly killed them. Tariq Bahadur, brother of the deceased, nominated Sultan Khan, Mir Sahib and Karim Khan in the first information report lodged with the Topi Police Station.
