Man killed by 15 people over minor issue in Hafizabad

HAFIZABAD: Fifteen people killed a man and injured two others over a minor issue at Mohallah Rashidpura on Sunday.

Abdul Rashid of Abdullahpur along with his father Muhammad Yousaf came to the house of his sister at Mohallah Rashidpura where exchange of hot words occurred between Abdul Rashid and accused Bilal, Adnan, Gulfam and others over a minor issue.

Later, accused Bilal, Adnan, Gulfam along with their accomplices allegedly attacked Abdul Rashid and his relatives with sticks.

As a result, Abdul Rashid was killed on the spot while two others were injured. City police have registered a case against the accused and started investigation.

OBITUARY: Wife of Peer Syed Sabir Hussain Shah Bukhari, mother of Syed Iftikhar Bukhari, Syed Mazhar Bukhari and grandmother of Syed Talha Bokhari died at Mohallah Bahawalpura. Her funeral prayer was offered at Railway Line graveyard.

Meanwhile, former councillor Hafiz Shafiqullah died after a brief illness. He was buried in a local graveyard. MAN DROWNS: A man drowned in Jhang Branch Canal. Imran with his friend Nadeem was taking bath in the canal near Hinduana village when he drowned.
