Two dacoits killed in Okara encounter

OKARA: Two dacoits were killed in an encounter with police here on Sunday midnight.
Policemen deputed at Chrasta Mian Khan police post received information that four dacoits had blocked a road to Basirpur near Jallywala Morre and were robbing the people of cash and valuables. Following the information, police raided the area to arrest the dacoits. Seeing police, the dacoits opened fire on them and escaped. To it, police started chasing the dacoits. Near Basirpur Town, the dacoits entered the maize field and again opened fire on police, which was retaliated by them. As a result, two dacoits were killed on the spot while two others managed to escape. The bodies of the killed dacoits were shifted to the DHQ Hospital for autopsy. Meanwhile, District Police Officer Muhammad Faisal Rana said that the killed dacoits were identified as Zubair alias Zubairi and his brother Yaseen of Rukunpura. He said that they were wanted by police in several cases.
TWO LAWYERS INSULTED: Two female lawyers of the Lahore High Court were insulted by unidentified car riders near Chak 9/1-AL on GT Road on Monday.
Nosheen Ameer Bokhari, her colleague Ayesha and brother Waqas Arshad were going to Lahore in their car from Renala Khurd when unidentified car riders intercepted them and misbehaved with the two lawyers. They also insulted them. Renala Khurd Sadr police have registered a case.
