Two dacoits killed in Okara encounter

OKARA: Two dacoits were killed in an encounter with police here on Sunday midnight.
Policemen deputed at Chrasta Mian Khan police post received information that four dacoits had blocked a road to Basirpur near Jallywala Morre and were robbing the people of cash and valuables. Following the information, police raided the area to arrest the dacoits. Seeing police, the dacoits opened fire on them and escaped. To it, police started chasing the dacoits. Near Basirpur Town, the dacoits entered the maize field and again opened fire on police, which was retaliated by them. As a result, two dacoits were killed on the spot while two others managed to escape.
