KASUR: Ganda Singhwala police on Thursday registered a case against three people on the charges of raping a class 9 student and blackmailing her family at Hussain Khanwala village.
According to complainant Manzoor Ahmad, his daughter, a student, worked as a maid in the house of Master Muhammad Arshad some years ago. He alleged that Arshad raped her in 2011 and made her video. Later, the accused continued to rape the victim by blackmailing her through the video. The complainant added that two others, Ibrahim and Ashfaq, also blackmailed his daughter and raped her, besides extorting money. The case has been registered under sections 376, 293, 386 and 387 of the PPC and the 7-ATA.
In another incident, the police registered a case against the assault victims’ leaders Mobeen Ghaznavi and Sultan Ahmad for allegedly making videos of Majeed and Haider Ali and sodomising them.
