Centre fighting Sindh govt, not corona: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari
ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Sunday said the world was admiring the Sindh government’s efforts against the COVID-19 pandemic but the federal government was fighting it instead of the disease.
He was talking to a delegation led by the Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. The delegation comprised Health Minister Dr Azra Pehchuho, EO Indus Hospital Dr Abdul Bari Khan and Dr Faisal.
He said the rise in the number of COVID-19 deaths in Pakistan was very alarming for the governments adding that the pandemic had brought the situation to a pretty pass. Bilawal was briefed about the coordinated steps taken by the Sindh government in its continuous fight against coronavirus.
Bilawal said timely action of Sindh government had generated a series of activities in the country to mount steps against the disease. Meanwhile, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed his concern over rising in locusts attack on crops and inaction of the federal government, saying that Federal Ministry for Food Security is again missing in actions as locusts attacked crops across Pakistan.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari from his twitter account stated that, last year despite our pleas provinces were left at the mercy of locusts. He said that if the federal government fails to act this is another disaster in the making.
