ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser has tested positive for the coronavirus, the latest politician to come down with the disease.
“I have put myself in self-quarantine,” said the Speaker in a statement on Twitter. “I request the entire nation to take precautions and pray for my recovery,” he said.
He is the second high-profile member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to be infected, days after Sindh Governor Imran Ismail revealed he had tested positive.
