CHAKWAL: Sadar and Kalar Kahar police on Tuesday arrested three drugs pushers and recovered narcotics and illicit arms from them in separate incidents here.
On a tip-off, the police raided and arrested Wazir Ghulam Mehdi of Bhoun village and recovered a 32-bore revolver and five bullets from him. The police recovered 125 grams charas from Shehzad of Khokhar Bala village. Kalar Kahar police nabbed Naseer Ahmed of Boola village and seized a 12-bore gun and four cartridges from him. The police have registered separate cases.
OATH-TAKING CEREMONY: Iftikhar Ali Malik, chairman of a business group, on Tuesday took oath from the newly-elected office-bearers of the Chakwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the Community Centre here.
He took oath from the office-bearers including Khawaja Arif Yousaf (president), Ch Yaseen (SVP) and Amir Najeeb (VP). Qazi Akbar and Zafar Bakhtawari were also present.
