Pervaiz Elahi seeks corona test of all prisoners

LAHORE: Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Pervaiz Elahi presided over another meeting of the All Parties Special Parliamentary Party on corona held on video link here on Thursday.

Speaker Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that corona test of inmates of all jails of Punjab be ensured and also doctors and staff performing duties at all quarantine centres be provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) essentially as a must.

During the meeting, Finance Minister Makhdoom Hashem Jawan briefed the meeting on preliminary points regarding the next financial year budget whereas Additional Chief Secretary Home Momin Agha apprised the government about measures for corona tests for the prisoners.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that all members of the Punjab Assembly should send their respective proposals on this e-mail address budget.proposals@pap.gov.pk, which will be forwarded to the Finance Department.

The meeting was attended by Law Minister Basharat Raja, Finance Minister Hashem Jawan Bakhat, MPAs Nazeer Ahmad Chohan, Sajid Ahmad Khan, Hassan Murtaza, Sardar Ovais Ahmad Khan Leghari, Samiullah Khan, Khwaja Salman Rafique, Ameen Zulqarnain, Ahmad Ali Aulakh, , Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Momin Agha, Secretary Finance Abdullah Khan Sunbal, Secretary Punjab Assembly Muhammad Khan Bhatti and DG Parliamentary Affairs Inayatullah Lak.
