TMA fails to remove animals’ waste
From Our Correspondent
DERA GHAZI KHAN: The Dera Ghazi Khan Tehsil Municipal Administration has failed to dispose of waste of sacrificial animals that also choked sewerage, The News observed here.
This time the performance of the TMA regarding disposing of the waste of sacrificial animals remained poor as it only removed the same from important locations and areas.
The residents said that this time no special cell was established by the TMA. On the third day of the Eid, the residents of different areas, including Fareedabad, Mastoi Colony, Shakir Town, Khayaban-e-Sarwar, Mujahidabad, Siddiqabad and Bhutta Colony, went to the TMA and told them about the problems being faced by them due to non-lifting of the animals waste but to no avail. It must be mentioned that the TMA used to set up cell with field offices at the important locations for reddressal of the public complaints but this year it failed to set up the same.
When contacted, an official of the TMA said that most of the waste was removed. He said that lifting of waste was still in process due to the staff shortage.
